September 17, 2009 | Oh America (really just North and South Carolina),We have had an amazing couple of months. We played The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC last weekend with Sister Hazel and Golden! It was one of the best nights ever. We got to play in front of a thousand music-hungry people and we got our records into the hands of quite a few unsuspecting citizens. We made a bunch of new fans and friends and had an amazing time! Thanks to Golden for the afterparty and to Sister Hazel for the opportunity! The weekend before we played HOB we played one of the most famous NC venues over at Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte, NC. It was a blast and we enjoyed sharing the stage with Shannon McArthur and Mike Alvarado. The next few weeks and months have us traveling all over and playing some fun shows...come check us out! P.S. June 6, 2009 | Big news! We've been in Charleston, SC for a year now and we miss NC. Since we haven't really been playing that many local shows here (we've been touring a lot) and since we have such strong roots in NC...we're moving back in July. March 2, 2009 | Hey hey! Steve here. The past few weeks have been amazing! To start with, we went on a NC tour in the beginning of February that lasted a few weeks. We played with some amazing new acts and we set two attendance records in Boone, NC. There is a video of the tour on our media link up top. We have started booking our spring tour and all those dates are on our shows page up top and on www.myspace.com/unioncounty. Union County was on TV this week. We played 2 songs on ABC's LowCountry Live here in Charleston, SC. It was a lot of fun and we've gotten some cool responses from the viewers. We'll have that video up soon! April 16, 2008 | Well, we have booked our recording session at Dark Horse Recording Studios in Nashville, Tn. This May we will record our new 14 track release "Swing The Moon". We are really excited about it and promise that we will keep the good parts of UC intact and add to them tastefully. We have been on a goodbye tour in Boone, NC the past few weeks and that tour only has two more weeks in it...it's been going really well and we've had a bunch of folks come out. July 10, 2007 | Alan is gearing up for his 2 month tour with Hootie. This one will take him all around the country and we are excited that he will get to meet so many influencial people in our industry. On the heels of the success of the Charleston tour we are currently booking a big spring tour. We are planning stops in more than 10 cities and are trying to really get things going this spring as we are planning to take over the world UC-style next July! July 1, 2007 | Well, well, well. We have a lot to report home-slices. Charleston was incredible! We played 3 shows in 4 days and smoked more cigars than anyone ever should. Big thanks to The Brick and Henry's for two of the best shows we've ever been a part of. Saturday night June 9th we played the brick and over the course of the night we had 1,200 people in the bar! They loved us and we had some people dancing and singing along all night (big thanks to Table 1... you drunken party-machines). Sunday night June 10th we played Henry's and though the crowd was smaller we had some really intense audience members who bought the album and who sat there listening for our entire 3 and a half hour set. We got a lot of compliments that night from people who we really impacted and we are very pumped about finding that same success in other cities and towns. -UC |
May 16, 2007 | Alan is in South Carolina working a Hootie and The Blowfish gig and Steve is in The Triad for a wedding on Saturday. We are currently enjoying the backlash of some sweet success. We were on 106.5 the end a few months ago and we were interviewed and played on 100.7 Mac fm the day before our last gig. These great experiences have brought us some great new myspace friends and we want to thank everyone who listened in and who e-mailed song requests. -UC |
